Under directives from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the Surajkund police station filed a report alleging the mother had committed maltreatment. The woman took her son and left to her mother’s place once the complaint was registered. Later on, the boy gave a statement to the CWC in which he accused his father of having an illicit drug habit. The purpose of the inquiry is to ascertain who is pressuring the child to make these assertions.

The father (an engineer) claimed in his complaint that he got married the lady (doctor) from Delhi 17 years ago. He said that his wife’s growing possessiveness toward their kid led to disagreements and even physical violence. He blamed her for the mistreatment.

SHO of Surajkund Police Station Shamsher Singh stated that because of election-related responsibilities, they had not yet taken the child’s statement. Shortly after the child gives his narrative, additional actions will be taken.
