Man Arrested for False Bomb Threat to Delay Flight

Delay-Seeking Passenger Arrested for Hoax of Bomb Threat on Delhi-Bound Flight

A man named Jay Krishna Kumar Mehta from Noida was arrested for making a fake bomb threat on a SpiceJet flight from Darbhanga to Delhi. He did this because he was late and wanted to delay the flight. However, the plane had already taken off when he made the false call.

After the flight landed in Delhi, everyone had to leave the plane, and it was checked thoroughly, but no bomb was found. The police charged Mehta for making the false threat. He made the call to SpiceJet’s call center in Gurugram, saying his name was Kishore.

Mehta claimed he overheard two guys talking about a bomb on the flight on January 24. Even though the flight had already left, the airport was put on high alert.

The police found out the bomb threat was just a lie, and they arrested Mehta in Noida using technology. During questioning, he admitted he made up the threat because he was late at the Darbhanga airport and wanted to purposely delay the flight.
