Pappu Yadav gets death threat
Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has once again received a death threat. The person threatening him claimed to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to Pappu Yadav’s personal assistant (PA), the threat was sent via WhatsApp, and a screenshot of the message has gone viral.

The message warned Yadav that since he had been talking about eliminating the Lawrence gang, he should now count his last days. The message further claimed that a contract had been given to six people to kill him, although the names of these individuals were not disclosed. Following this, Pappu Yadav’s PA filed a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, the police have launched an investigation.

This is not the first time Pappu Yadav has been threatened. On October 28, he received another threat call, during which the caller advised him to stay away from the Salman Khan case. The caller warned Yadav by saying, “Stay out of Salman’s case, we deal with both karma and action.” The caller also claimed that Lawrence Bishnoi was trying to speak with Pappu Yadav by paying one lakh rupees per hour to disable the jail’s jammer, but that Pappu Yadav was not answering the phone.

The threat seems to be linked to Pappu Yadav’s reactions to the murder of former NCP MLA Baba Siddique in Mumbai on October 12, which was claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Yadav had posted on social media stating that he would work towards the gang’s elimination within 24 hours. He also met with Baba Siddiqui’s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, who is also a legislator. Following this, Yadav expressed his support for Bollywood actor Salman Khan through social media.

On October 21, Pappu Yadav wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting increased security. He sought to upgrade his security from Y-category to Z-category.

The police arrested the individual responsible for the death threat against Pappu Yadav on Saturday in Delhi. The accused, identified as Mahesh Pandey, is not connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to the police, Mahesh Pandey had traveled to Dubai, where he obtained a SIM card from his sister-in-law and used it to make the threat call to Pappu Yadav on October 28. Pandey had previously worked at Delhi’s AIIMS and the Ministry of Defence’s canteen.
