The government stopped phone services because of attacks trying to mess up the vote, leaving at least nine people dead. The internet was also turned off, causing problems for voters. PTI leaders call it a “cowardly act.”
Despite the issues, PTI leaders claim they are winning. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari of the PPP also sees early results as positive.
The country has a history of violence, but on voting day, there were only a few incidents. The PML-N and PPP were major parties in the vote. PTI says they faced challenges like arrests and rally bans.
Imran Khan is in prison and says the military is interfering. People could vote for Nawaz Sharif, who was banned before but can run now for a fourth term.
