Surjit Singh, the father of the two men, has three sons who live separately. Until recently, Surjit and his wife were staying with their younger son, Dilbagh. But a bitter property dispute forced the elderly couple out. They found refuge with their elder son Balwinder, a move that enraged Dilbagh, who viewed it as a betrayal.

On July 14, the simmering tension reached a terrifying climax. As Balwinder stood at his gate with his wife and daughter, Dilbagh drove past in a car with his own wife. But what happened next was nothing short of shocking. Dilbagh stopped the vehicle, asked his wife to get out, then turned the car around and accelerated deliberately mowing down his brother and family.
Chaos, Cries, and a Narrow Escape
The victims were left critically injured, trapped under the vehicle. Hearing the commotion, villagers rushed to the scene and pulled them out. The three were rushed to a private hospital in Moga, where they are now recovering. Doctors say their condition is stable.

DSP Ramandeep Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against Dilbagh Singh and his wife based on Balwinder’s statement. “We have the CCTV footage. The accused is currently on the run, but we’re tracking him down. He will be behind bars soon,” the officer assured.
