France’s Emmanuel Macron Enjoys India’s Republic Day Festivities and Parade

France's Macron Expresses Gratitude for India's Republic Day Celebrations

French President Emmanuel Macron was a special guest at India’s 75th Republic Day celebrations. He watched the impressive parade and performances with other important leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Macron posted a video of the French band and military groups in the parade, expressing his gratitude, “France is honored. Thank you, India!” Prime Minister Modi appreciated the French participation, saying their band and aircraft added to the celebration.

Macron also sent warm wishes to PM Modi and the people of India for Republic Day, expressing his joy to be in India and celebrate their strong friendship.

Earlier, Macron had discussions with PM Modi in Jaipur. A group from France, including a marching team and a band, joined the parade. Two French fighter planes and a large aircraft were part of the celebrations.

Due to COVID-19, there were no special guests in 2021 and 2022. Macron’s visit follows other notable guests like Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in recent years.

Macron being there highlights the strong connection between France and India. Both countries are eager to collaborate in various areas.
