At the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) held on February 18 in London’s Royal Festival Hall, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone took the stage to present the award for Best Film Not in the English Language, captivating everyone with her elegance in a Sabyasachi couture sari paired with meticulously crafted jewellery.

The actress, known for her role in “The Fighter,” highlighted the significance of the category she presented, which honors compelling narratives that bring to life both fantastical and realistic worlds, leaving a profound impact on viewers. Jonathan Glazer clinched the award for his 2023 historical drama “The Zone of Interest,” premiered in Poland, outshining other contenders such as “Twenty Days in Mariupol,” “Anatomy of a Fall,” “Past Lives,” and “Society of the Snow.”

Deepika shared glimpses of her breathtaking attire on Instagram, turning heads in a strapless blouse and a golden sequined sari, her look perfected with understated earrings, a casual bun, and soft makeup emphasizing her eyes with a touch of kohl. On the career front, Deepika is set to star in Nag Ashwin’s ambitious sci-fi film “Kalki 2898 AD,” slated for a May 9 release, featuring Prabhas. She will also join the ensemble cast of Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again,” part of the Cop Universe series, a sequel to the 2014 hit “Singham Returns.” In “Jawan,” Deepika will share the screen with a stellar cast including Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Jackie Shroff, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor.
