At 37, Raksha Nikhil Khadse is the youngest minister, and at 79, Jitan Ram Manjhi is the oldest to take the oath of power.

In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Council of Ministers, Maharashtra MP Khadse was sworn in as a minister of state (MoS). She was elected in Maharashtra’s Raver Lok Sabha seat.

Manjhi (79) was sworn in as a Minister of the Union Cabinet in the Modi 3.0 administration.

Manjhi was the first president of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and the 23rd Chief Minister of Bihar. He has previously worked in Nitish Kumar’s Cabinet as the minister for the welfare of scheduled tribes and scheduled castes. The general elections of 2024 saw him win the Gaya seat.

Chirag Paswan and Jayant Choudhary are two of the other young ministers.

After two complete terms in which the BJP held a majority on its own, Prime Minister Modi took the oath of office on Sunday for the third time together with his 71 ministers to form the new coalition government.
