Williamson, a key figure in New Zealand cricket, opted out of the recently concluded T20I series against Australia to be with Sarah for the birth of their newest family member. Taking to Instagram, he shared the happy news of their daughter‘s arrival, expressing his gratitude and looking forward to the journey ahead with, “And then there was 3. Welcome to the world beautiful Girl. So grateful for your safe arrival and the exciting journey ahead.”

The couple, who have been together since 2015 but are not yet married, first became parents with the birth of their daughter Maggie in December 2020, followed by a son in May 2022. Williamson’s commitment to family was evident when he departed from the Sunrisers Hyderabad team during the IPL 2022 to be present for his second child’s birth. Williamson is poised to rejoin the cricketing fray for the two-match Test series against Australia, scheduled to start on February 29 at Wellington’s Basin Reserve.

His return follows a remarkable performance in a home Test series against South Africa, where he distinguished himself by becoming the fifth New Zealander to score two centuries in a Test match. Moreover, Williamson broke the record for the fastest to reach 32 Test centuries, outpacing Australian cricket icon Steve Smith, and set a new record for New Zealand cricket.
