The historical drama “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” featuring Sara Ali Khan, is set to premiere on Prime Video in March. The film, set during the period before India’s independence, will be available for streaming from March 21, as announced by the streaming giant. Additionally, Sara Ali Khan will also star in the murder mystery “Murder Mubarak,” which is expected to launch on Netflix on March 15, a week prior to “Ae Watan Mere Watan.”
A snippet from the movie’s teaser presents Sara’s character, Usha, urging people to rise against British rule through radio broadcasts. The movie draws inspiration from Usha Mehta, a historical figure known for her role in the Indian independence movement. Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film will also be accessible in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Telugu languages starting March 15. Dharmatic Entertainment, led by Somen Mishra, Apoorva Mehta, and Karan Johar, is behind the production of the movie, which was co-written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan.
Sara Ali Khan shared a teaser on her Instagram, marking World Radio Day with a caption that translates to “On World Radio Day! The story of the nation, through Usha’s words!” and tagged it with “#AeWatanMereWatanOnPrime” to be exclusively available on Prime Video from March 21.
Karan Johar, from Dharmatic Entertainment, expressed his enthusiasm for the film, emphasizing their commitment to delivering heartfelt stories.
