During the incident, Saif had a confrontation with the accused, who attacked him with a sharp weapon, leaving him seriously injured. Despite his condition, Saif reached Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. The driver, Bhajan Singh Rana, has been hailed as a real hero by netizens and celebrities alike. After being discharged and recovering, Saif personally met Bhajan Singh to express his gratitude.

Earlier, reports suggested that Saif Ali Khan gave Rs 11,000 to the driver who helped save his life. However, recent updates reveal that the actor has now provided financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the driver. This gesture sparked demands on social media for a reward of Rs 11 lakh for the auto driver. Pushpa 2 singer Mika Singh also joined the conversation, announcing a reward of Rs 1 lakh for Bhajan Singh.

In an interview with ETimes, Bhajan Singh Rana shared, “He (Saif) said, ‘You got me to the hospital on time. Well done.’” When asked if Saif offered him any financial reward upon returning home, the auto driver humbly replied, “That’s up to him. We cannot demand anything. Whatever he gave, we accepted it. If he hadn’t given anything, that would have been fine too.”

According to reports, Saif Ali Khan rewarded Bhajan Singh Rana with Rs 50,000 for his timely assistance. Meanwhile, Mika Singh praised the driver’s heroic act and promised Rs 1 lakh. On his Instagram story, Mika wrote, “I strongly believe the auto driver, who saved India’s favorite superstar, should be rewarded with at least Rs 11 lakh. He deserves all the praise! Please share details so I can meet him. I want to give him Rs 1 lakh as a token of appreciation.”

Recounting the incident, Bhajan Singh mentioned that Saif, bleeding profusely, sought his help to get to the hospital, and despite the urgency, the driver refused to take any fare. He further revealed that Saif thanked him at the hospital and told him to reach out in case of any need. Saif’s mother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, also personally expressed her gratitude.
Bhajan Singh recounted that Saif’s family honored him warmly. “I got a call from Saif’s family, and though I was late in reaching them, they treated me with great respect. I even took selfies with them,” he said.

Post Saif’s successful surgery, both the actor and Sharmila Tagore met Bhajan Singh to thank him personally. According to IANS, Saif assured the auto driver that his fare would be reimbursed and promised ongoing support while encouraging him to continue helping those in need.
