The caller warned Yadav by saying, “Stay out of Salman’s case, we deal with both karma and action.” The caller also claimed that Lawrence Bishnoi was trying to speak with Pappu Yadav by paying one lakh rupees per hour to disable the jail’s jammer, but that Pappu Yadav was not answering the phone.

The threat seems to be linked to Pappu Yadav’s reactions to the murder of former NCP MLA Baba Siddique in Mumbai on October 12, which was claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Yadav had posted on social media stating that he would work towards the gang’s elimination within 24 hours. He also met with Baba Siddiqui’s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, who is also a legislator.
