Following the murder of Baba Siddiqui, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name has once again come into the limelight. Recently, Congress leader and Raebareli MP Rahul Gandhi received a death threat on Facebook. The threat was posted alongside a photo of Lawrence Bishnoi on social media.
NSUI activists have filed a complaint at the Sigra police station in Varanasi regarding this incident. They have demanded immediate registration of an FIR against the social media user responsible for the post, which not only targeted Rahul Gandhi but also mentioned AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi in a similar context.
Threat to Rahul Gandhi’s Life
Rishabh Pandey, the President of NSUI in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, informed ABP News that a user named Buddhaditya Mohanty posted a message threatening the life of Rahul Gandhi, the MP from Wayanad. The post also glorified Lawrence Bishnoi alongside the threat.
NSUI stated, “Rahul Gandhi is working to unite people from all walks of life and speaks about upholding the Constitution. In this context, he is the country’s greatest hope, and we will not tolerate such criminal-minded thinking against him. We demand that an FIR be registered against this individual with such a criminal mentality as soon as possible.”
The post mentions Lawrence Bishnoi, but it is also believed that a mischievous individual may have made such a post to stay in the news. Meanwhile, NSUI activists have expressed their outrage over the matter.
