Upon returning home, Nadeem met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, who awarded him a cash prize of PKR 1 million (around INR 3 lakh). However, former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria criticized the amount, calling it an ‘insult’ to both Nadeem and the nation.

He argued that the low reward was inadequate for Nadeem’s needs, suggesting it couldn’t even cover air travel costs, and urged the PM to offer a more respectful acknowledgment.

He emphasized the need for better roads, cooking gas connections, and the establishment of a university in Mian Channu city, so local students, especially women, don’t have to travel long distances for higher education.
