Shortly after her resignation, Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman announced that the military would form an “interim government” and urged protesters to stand down. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with S Jaishankar about the violence in Bangladesh, which has resulted in over 300 deaths so far. There is no word yet on whether Modi will meet Hasina or not.
