Prashant Kishor criticises Nitish Kumar
Political strategist turned activist-politician Prashant Kishor slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of “touching the feet” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stay in power. Kishor, speaking at a public meeting in Bhagalpur as part of his ‘Jan Suraaj’ campaign, said that people question why he now criticizes Kumar despite having worked with him in the past. Kishor explained that Kumar was different back then and had not compromised his integrity.

Kishor claimed that the leader of a state represents the pride of its people, but Kumar brought shame to Bihar by showing more than required respect to Modi during a recent NDA meeting in Delhi. He pointed out that Nitish Kumar’s party, JD(U), had won 12 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, making it the second largest ally of the BJP, which did not secure a majority on its own.

Kishor further added that despite discussions about Kumar’s significant role in Modi’s return to power, Kumar is not leveraging his influence to benefit Bihar. Instead, he is more focused on maintaining his position with BJP’s support, even after the 2025 assembly elections. Kishor first gained recognition in 2014 for managing Modi’s successful Lok Sabha election campaign.
