A shocking incident occurred in the north Bihar district of Supaul, where a five-year-old boy brought a handgun to school and opened fire, injuring another student.

The nursery student had hidden the firearm in his bag. Superintendent of Police Shaishav Yadav reported that the 5-year-old boy fired at a 10-year-old Class 3 student, hitting him in the arm. The injured child has been taken to a hospital for treatment.
Cops are investigating how the boy obtained the gun and managed to bring it to the private school located in the Lalpatti area.

Reacting over the incident, SP Yadav stated, “We are also instructing schools across the district to regularly check students’ bags to prevent such incidents. This event has caused significant anxiety among parents and guardians.”
